“A woman is like a tea bag – you can’t tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water.” –Eleanor Roosevelt

Water is the life giving source for all of creation. It replenishes the body. The human body can survive without food for a long period of time, but survival without water is impossible. And, not just any water will do; only fresh water will fulfill a thirsty soul. A woman can be as refreshing as a cold glass of water or she can be like a flood that destroys everything within her path.

Just like water, women are nurtures. We like to “take care” of things. Great joy found in the process of helping another achieve the very best. Relationship development gives meaning to our lives. We thrive when connected to others. God gave women that innate ability to cultivate and support our spouses, family, and friends. Encouragement is a gift that flows naturally from the heart of a woman.

Although, we are always giving and sacrificing ourselves, the fruition of hard work pays a much greater return on investment. You will never find a more dedicated or committed soul. She loves until the end. Passion and fierceness pulsates through her veins. Because she can become territorial, her wrath will appear out of nowhere if something she loves is threatened. Like a mother bear defending her cubs, a woman will lay down her life in the name of love.  Never take her love for granted.

A genuine lady looks for reasons to love. She distributes the “benefit of the doubt” equally in all situations. Too many daggers of disrespect and lack of appreciation will result in an impenetrable wall. The love you won will quickly become the love you lost. The raging waters contain a more powerful under current…a storm was brewing and you never knew it. Like a tsunami, the waters start to slowly retreat; then out nowhere this 50 feet wave slams on shore.  As you stand there scratching your head in confusion, Mother Nature has cut a clear path to the door. That is the day the house is left empty, cleaned, and swept.  A woman gives so much, but expects very little in return. Love must be reciprocated. Attention expected.

Never take a good woman for granted. Never expect more than you give. The outcome is up to you…a refreshing tall glass of cold water or a destroying flood? The choice is yours. A word to the wise: “Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:25).  Watering women need a drink from time to time, also.  You cannot go wrong with that kind of love!!
