Do you still believe in love? Many newspaper articles are written about married couples withstanding the test of time. The headlines capture us with stories of “Couple Celebrates Their Golden Year Anniversary” in which the interviewer is determined to find out the secret to staying in love. These four letters contain such power. It is so strong that hearts are knit together beyond space and time. The word love is such an abstract term that many struggle to understand. The Bible reveals that God is Love. Each page contains a descriptive of God’s relentless pursuit of mankind…all because of LOVE!!
God’s love is so great that we could never understand the depth of His care and compassion for us. Salvation was a part of His plan from the beginning of time. Even in the fallen state of man, love reminds us of the restoration power given to us in Jesus Christ. It is a love so powerful that it required the sacrifice of a life. Without a second thought, Jesus gave his all…all because of LOVE!!
Whenever the light of love shines through a heart, a transformation takes place. Where years of hurt has carved out wounds so hardened and calloused, the power of love is able to perform emergency surgery filling each hole with a balm so penetrating that healing takes place immediately. The surgery is such a success that any sign of injury disappears. The renewed heart reflects the wondrous light given by the Mighty light…all because of Love!!
Do you recall the day that God showered your heart with love? Some describe it as “unforgettable” or “life changing” a feeling like no other. A secret that you wanted to tell everybody you meet. The Bible describes the God-type of love (Agape) as, “patient and kind. It does not envy. It does not boast. It is not proud. It is not rude. It is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrong. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects. Always trusts. Always hopes. Always perseveres.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) We reciprocate these actions towards others whether they deserve it or not. God did it for us. He continues to hold on to us…all because of LOVE!!
